Greetings From Ireland

Just received the following email from Joan. Thought that I'd share it with you all. Sounds like she and dh are having a fabulous time. Without further is Joan's email:

I finally have a chance to email's complimentary here at the Aghadoe Heights Hotel and Spa in Killarney. Hope everyone and everything is fine with you.

Our flights were fine and uneventful although neither of us slept the entire way. I figure I was up for 48 hours before I actually got any sleep but, other than that, we survived.

We're having a fine ol' time so far and we've seen nothing but green hills and valleys. It was pouring down rain when we arrived in Dublin but we've only seen lots of clouds and sprinkles since then although there is supposed to be a real rain storm today...I haven't looked outside yet. The hotels have been quite nice although the one we're in right now is very modern (Asian motif) and not what we expected. Our room overlooks a lake and a's so cool! Our last hotel was in a baronial manor and was much more what we expected in terms of old world charm. We haven't been to any of the castles yet...that's later in the week.

Prices here are incredibly high and even a glass of Diet Coke can cost several dollars. Oh dad would say, it's only money. We've bought some souvenirs but tell the kids I haven't found that lepruchaun and his pot of gold yet...I'll keep looking!

Haven't been to BlogLand so could you please let everyone know that we're having a great time and will have lots of photos to share when we get back. ....(then there was some personal stuff)

Oooo... thanx for the update Lynn. Sounds awesome! Oh, I can imagine all the wonderful sights she's snapping pics of. She better find that pot of gold pretty quick if everythings costing so much. A baronial manor must've been absolutely breathtaking. I wish I was there. Thanks again for the update!

Frank's kind of freaking me out, yo. What's up with that?

I didn't know your sister went to Ireland (possibly because I don't read her blog). Anyway, I'm officially jealous! I'm going to have to go start visiting her blog so I can see pictures when she gets back!

Who the hell is Frank? He's like some virtual IT dude.

Glad to hear your sister is doing fine in Ireland. What a cool trip. She'll be back very soon and you can return to speaking about personal stuff.

Renee - I am glad that she is having a great time too. I can't imagine a 14 hour flight without sleep...yucky.

Patches -Only lucky people or people with the right drugs.

Michele - I am looking forward to her finding a pot of gold...heck, I'm counting on it. lol

Arm - Yeah he is freaking me out too...I haven't clicked on his name, or visited his web site...I will let you know when Joan is back so you can go and see her pictures.

Egan - You're the friendly about if you find out who the hell Frank is, and let us all know... (pretty please, with a cherry on top;~). I can't wait for her to return.

Pam - I think that you are correct. I thought that my alien alphabet word verification thingy was supposed to prevent spam. I will definitely tell Joan that you say 'hello'.

Patti - Welcome to the weirded out community...brought to you by 'Frank'. Time is passing quickly...good for me...probably not so good for Joan.

iamthebookworm - You're welcome...Glad you stopped by...

Lynn, I looked last night. Frank has photos of people's computers and he urges you to visit their sites.

Lynn said...

Patti - What's with that?

sari said...

Well, computers are better than, um, feet or something, right? :-)

Glad to hear Joan is having a good time, even with a $4 Diet Coke.

Sari - You are correct...that would be really, really weird if he wanted pictures of my feet...or something else...way to turn a negative into a positive;~) I got two more emails from Joan today. I'll probably post them tomorrow.
