By the time you read this, I may already be on the road to pick Twelve up at camp. Then again, for those of you on the East Coast, I am leaving early...but not THAT early...(6amPST). I am really excited to hear about Twelve's week. I'm sure that she had a fabulous time. When I picked her up last year, she got into the car and had such stories to tell...I can't wait.
Last year, peace prevailed in this household until about 2-3 days after Twelve's return. It took that long for the calming effects of the camp to wear off. I'm thinking that I may stop at the red bullseye store and pick up some ear plugs on the way to the camp. That way in two to three day's time, after the effects of camp has worn off...the noise of Ten and Twelve fighting won't annoy me as much...I hope.

Hope Twelve had a great week!
I remember when Kid2 (then age 12) was returning with his People to People group from Europe. I was using one of these free flight trackers, and watching the plane from Maine to JFK. I guess that I couldn't wait after 20 days for his return. I followed the plane position reports, and when it said 'LANDED', I sent an e-mail to tho other parents on the mail group "WHEELS DOWN AT 12:06!!!". In a phone call earlier in the trip, he implored us to please serve 'American food' when he got home, so we obliged with hot dogs and instant mashed potatoes that day. Nothing but the best for our world traveller!
I love it. I know exactly how that is, too. Ahh, memories.
I've got the countdown on my blog for DD's camping trip. We're both a bundle of nerves.
I should start gathering her supplies. sunscreen, bug spray...etc.
The post vacation/retreat/camp/honeymoon high. Nothing else compares. Maybe you'll get extended play on the 2-3 days of peace this year.
I certainly hope your quiet house remains so...yea...sure...
Oh...a little award is waiting for you at my blog. Congratulations!
Patti - She did.
Ralph - I can't imagine sending Ten or Twelve on a plane anywhere without me. You and the first officer are very brave.
Arm - I think Twelve made some good memories...and so did Ten and I.
Renee - Definitely bug spray and stuff to put on when those pesky bugs get through the spray and she itches.
Patches - The 'honeymoon' is pretty much over. sigh
Joan - Quiet...what's that? I will head over to your blog now.
Lynn, It wasn't easy. He was 12!
