The Joys Of Aging

The stars must be aligning in a strange way. Recently, Meno blogged about AARP, then today, a friend of mine sent me an email with the following bumper stickers. My birthday isn't until the end of November. Could the universe be trying to tell me something?

Those are funny. But...

You're only as old as you feel. Your kids keep you young. And today's 60 is the 30 of 30 years ago.

Hang in there. We're not old, we're experienced.

Hey, I'm trying to find candles for our investiture ceremony but I want each of the colors of the Daisy patch. A 3 wicked blue pillar for the Promise and then colored tapers. Ever see anything like that or know where to find them?

Wisdom comes with age... As do wrinkles and gray hair, I suppose, but wisdom is pretty good to have.

You're not that old. I think you've got a long way to go until AARP starts kicking in. By the way, I've got an AARP card and I'm younger than you.

Renee - I guess that I must have lots and lots of experience;~) As far as the candles...I don't have a clue to where you can get them, but I will definitely ask around.

Patti - I guess I must be pretty wise too (along with the wisdom I evidently have) :~) We won't talk about gray hair and wrinkles...no sireee.

Deb - I love them too...now which one would I choose to put on my car?

Meno - The Florida one cracked me up...In parts of Florida, it's so true.

Michele- You so often make me smile, that I am glad that I could return the favor.

Egan - You'd be surprised as to how old I am...How could a wipper snapper like you have an AARP card already? Don't tell me you've already signed Anna up for one.

'Old' is in your mind only. I consider myself a 'young' 52, and I think I wear it well. I don't know how to define old, but my grandpa sold his business when he was 76. That's a long working life...

Ralph - My mother keeps saying that "age is just a number". So I guess that she agrees with you.
