Today is my DH's birthday. It is also our dog, Ambers, birthday too!Lucky Amber gets to hang around the house. Lay (or is that lie) in the sun. Run around outside and bark at squirrels and other dogs. Go in the car. Go for a walk in the park. I think that Amber will have a wonderful day.
DH, on the other hand, had to go to work today. What's with that? I think that no matter what you do, you should be given your birthday off...with pay. Unfortunately his employer has other ideas.
I need to go pick up a special 'treat' for Amber...and Elle and I will go and get DH his gifts this afternoon (I would have gotten them this weekend, but 'stuff' with my mom, got in the way).

my husband's birthday was the 10th....
my boss gives me my birthday off WITH PAY. I'll remember that next time I am complaining about my job.
I am so happy that DH is feeling better and that life seems to be returning to normal at your house.
I wish I could lie in the sun and lick my....wait a minute, Amber isn't properly equipped...Hope everyone enjoys a nice stress-free day..BTW, if I were his boss, I'd totally give him the day off with pay. Amber too, for that matter.
Patti - DH really didn't want Sport born on his birthday...something about each person should have their own.

Jodi - When I was in college, I worked at a store that gave you your birthday off with pay. It was a nice gesture, and one I certainly appreciated at the time.

Patches - Well, Amber can't lick her...oh wait actually she can, and if she had...um, well I know that is a touchy subject with you, but suffice it to say, Amber can be in the sun and lick whatever she wants...lucky dog! If you were DH's boss he would appreciate it.
Happy Birthday to your DH & poochie. I guess having them both on the same day keeps you from forgetting your dog's birthday like I do all the time. Oops! I don't think that she minds though.

Happy Birthday to DH and Amber. Is it my imagination or are all the birthday's in your family in the fall? It feels like it has been one right after the other? Growing up it was that way in my family, only ours are spring birthdays.
Renee - Having them on the same day is certainly convienent. The people at work bought him a chocolate cake:~)

Marsha - It is not your imagination. Our birthdays start the beginning of October and end Dec 12. Whew.
Any chance you will post photos of the lovely Amber?? Nothing against DH, but yellow Labs are so photogenic!
